My Christmas....

You might be aware already, I spent Christmas eve in the office.. and well enough, during the Christmas Day itself.. I was sleeping lang, lame!

I tried to be awake until early afternoon but I couldn't just help it. So let me share what happened.

7AM, Marvin picked me up after office hours then we headed home to have a meal. I enjoyed the night with all the people greeting me and wishing me Merry Christmas. Let me borrow a phrase.. "it wasn't so bad", although I was on call when 12MN striked...

I got the following
  • A box of Max's Caramel Bar from my Ninang
  • Coasters from Johann
  • Coffee Cup from Shey
  • Toblerone from Pat
  • KaraNina cosmetics pouch from Rose, Pat, and Brandon
  • Mrs. Fields cookies from Milly
  • Notepad and Picture Clipper from Hakkai
  • Papemelroti notepad from Tin
  • Cute pencil from Dette - which is the same pencil I gave to my class, haha
  • Tomato Bag from my Kuya
  • Converse Chucks from my Beau! - I thought I'll get a VS speedy bag this holiday, I didn't expect that he'll get me a Converse... but I super like it! But you know what, I think sakit ko ung, hindi pwedeng isa lang.. dahil maluluma agad pag ginamit ko ng ginamit.. so I wish to get one more next year! **grin**
  • ... pahabol - a self made perfume by Dwan (my student), very nice. thanks dwan!
Apart from all these, I got soooooooooo many text messages and that I intentionally did not reply. hehe. Sorry! Kasi ung iba, numbers lang, I just couldn't take some time to reply and ask. And I couldn't bring my cellphone anywhere but in my pedestal.

Let me share a space here, to all those who greeted me.. THANK YOU, THANK YOU and THANK YOU. I am truly and sincerely gratified with all of you remembering me... so again, THANK YOU!!

To those who spent time to buy others gifts (including me!), MY SINCEREST THANK YOU as well.

.. now its time to wish ourselves a PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Noche Buena '08

pc clock says 8:47 pm. i'm currently in the office (just arrived) actually as i type away and blog.. mariah carey singing her christmas album...

im not sad to be working in the office tonight, i might during the new year's eve, but until then... i won't waste efforts in thinking that I could have stayed home instead. day is going good so far. i was actually awaken by the busy bees at home, my family dined (all together) kanina, without me.. hehe, because I was still sleeping, but their happy conversations woke me up.

when i was blog hopping early this morning, I noticed that a lot of the sites i visit have not updated their journal for a week or two - hiatus ba itoh? sobrang busy guys ah.

anyway, allow me to say that my christmas wish this season is continued STRONG family ties, STRONG love relationship, BETTER if not the same career and BETTER finances.

please do enjoy and make the most out of what you have... as not everyone can be with their families and loved ones this noche buena...

... till next christmas!

Happy Holidays everyone!

VitaminWater

Sorry, but I just have to blog this really. During our Product Training days.. a few weeks back, I would normally buy drinks, or any chi-cha to keep me hydrated and AWAKE. I would always stop by 7-11 on the way to work.. I didn't realize I'm not buying the real vitaminwater until i tasted it

the vitwater (sorry, but didn't impress me)
borrowed this picture from the net, w/c i think came from a blog too
can't find my USB for my phone so I can't upload my phone photos

and this is the vitaminwater I used to buy at Walmart, Laramie.
I wonder how much it'll cost if the real one gets shipped here, this costs 80cents to a dollar back there, depending on the size. But my manager said - there's too much sugar on it.. hehehe so sometimes I drink Gatorade na lang :p

THREE DAYS TO GO... before Christmas

Dec 21, 2008

Four Days

.. before Christmas and a whole lot of errands to do.

I've actually decided not to buy any gifts this year, yeah.. poor me. Anyway, I'm not sad or anything because I will still buy some for the ones closest to me... my parents, my siblings, my students, and maybe simple souvenirs for our dear guests, and oh --- never to forget the beau!

I would normally buy simple gifts for my inaanak too and all my cousins, nieces and nephews.. but I decided moolah na lang, because they're just toooooooooooooo many!!! LOL. my inaanak ata is around 8, my pamangkins are more than that.. so... sorry guys, hopefully I can personalize your Christmas next year when everything is a little bit better for me.

I wouldn't normally go out with my mama to buy these stuff but marvin has work and my sister slept like 5AM so I guess I can't hide any gifts for her now, or whatever.. she decides for what she wants anyway.

I don't forget remyxx but we have not seen each other for ages! OMG, I can't believe this. When we were in College before, we would tell each other that we should have a reunion or something to that effect every month. It's been ages girlfriends,, what happened? On a side note, I haven't seen my bestfriend for like a year too.. sorry rina.. please remember that I love you, I always will.

..... hmmmmm, what to get beau this time? shit, hopefully he didn't buy the chucks/sneaks I've been ranting hehehehe.. I like the colorful chuck taylor kasi, I've seen it from couple of students and other people and I thought its really cool.. sabi ko un na lang gift nia, pero sana hindi nia binili... hon, if you're reading... kahit VS bag na lang, i'll be happy with that na. hindi kasi ako sporty so....... even though I would love sneakers this xmas, i'll trade it with a cute Victoria Secret 'speedy' type bag. mura lang yon ha! :p

.............. I'm just waiting for mama and off we will go to wherever we need to go to buy grocerieeeeeeeees, and others. I always make it a point to be at the mall exactly 10AM, so when they open I'm there... but there's always exception to the rules right? so I will make myself ready makipagbungguan sa malls.

PS - I'll spend Christmas in the office pala, partly sad, partly ok because I know it will be worth it for so many reasons naman. :)
christmas, family, shopping
I won't greet you Merry Christmas yet because I'll make sure to blog again. :)

Quickie

ok.. sorry for the title but I couldn't think of anything anymore.

I'd like to separately blog about a lot of things that's going on, but I just couldn't find the time. Hay.
  1. When I went home the other day around 10AM or something, I dropped by National Bookstore to get myself an ID holder. I couldn't believe it, my eyes spotted a hidden - i described it hidden because it wasn't exposed or flaunted for enough marketing, Belle De Jour powerplanner. Actually, I bought one online and never had the time to pay it, and of course they won't deliver if it hasn't been paid yet. I didn't think twice - hehe, I like their planner kahit medyo mahal.. so I grabbed it and paid for it. Ung bill ko na dapat e less than 50 pesos naging 600 pesos. I met the one who started this planner last year December din, from a bazaar at SMX and I bought 11 planners. I don't have the 2007, but I have the 2008... and I can say they're getting better at their craft.
  2. Dami namang celebrations this weekend. a-Marvin's niece out of town christening and family gathering. b-POE W2 Christmas Celebration and reunion. c-TQA's Christmas party at Center Stage. Which one should I attend?
will try to blog during weekend and I'll try make my post worth it naman.

Ciao!

Twilight

... in my eyes

I was a little late in seeing the movie, we just did last Saturday.

Anyway, for one.. I have not read the book, I don't know the story whatsoever, I just know that its a story of a vampire and a human and that's it.. I think I have to find out the rest.

Sorry, but I find the story lacking of sooooooooooo many things. I couldn't help myself but compare with the movie i've seen in HBO - THE COVENANT. I did not see this movie from the big screen but I totally liked it, kahit na medyo may part na minadali. Plus the fact na super gwaping nung bida dun.. wink wink

I am a little disappointed. I know no movie has ever lived up to the book itself but I thought I could see something different plus the fact that the director of HP directed this movie. How is the twilight book written? Is it really just the love story of Bella and Edward.. if it is,, maybe the director could have emphasized on it a little more. Parang all of a sudden sila na.. all of a sudden this girl is interested on Edward... parang alam mo na ung magiging ending.. magiging sila nga. I don't know, maybe its just me.. maybe I have too much expectations.

If you find it good, sorry... boooo me.

Sana me part two, and hopefully, it'll be something better na by that time. I'll still watch it. But I won't buy the book, I'll just read the PDF. :p

PS
Kristen Stewart was really good. I love all Kristen na..hehe, started with Kristen Bell.
I'm just not sure with Robert Pattinson. Meron siyang lines na dapat medyo comedy kasi napapangiti sya or merong lines na dapat important and nakakakilig pero naging blah... ay ewan. Maybe its really just me.

StarTek is "Untouchables"

Sunday, December 7, 2008
Top Shelf
Bonifacio High Street

StarTek's first ever Christmas Party is themed as "UNTOUCHABLES"

My day actually started very early, not that it was in connection to the Xmas Party or the event, but I just woke up really early. I'm saying this because my under eye circles e panira sa mga photos. hay!

I didn't want to go the place alone so I contacted my kids para makasabay ako, hehe... I went with Venice, Shey and Roma... hence the entrance photo op by our Untouchables wall.
The party was really great, and I loved the food too. From the many Christmas Party's i've attended before.. sa ALBA lang ata ako nabusog. Real good one! :) I think the highlights of the entire party were the raffle and the presentations of different departments/accounts. A band played after all the raffle and singing and dancing. And of course, the OPEN BAR.. hindi beer or draft beer ha, mixed drinks... shet sarap!

.. sorry for the post.
nawala na momentum ko :p

Sunday Celebration!!

It's exactly 11AM now but instead of sleeping, I'm still awake. I just got home from visiting my sick bf who I think just needs to see me for him to be alright... haba ng hair!! well, its a gf duty to take care of one another ryt? so i just did my part...

anyway, before I sleep here while typing, let me update you of the things that happened last sunday.

FIRST - manny strikes again!
He's really one hell of a fighter. I can't believe how he made me hunt google and all other search engines to find a live ppv broadcast of his fight. It was really tough looking for one because I know HBO said they will block all illegally streaming live broadcasts. Pero wag ka, nakahanap ako.. My mother turned off the TV because she's getting nervous, pumusta na naman kasi mga cousins ko... they're really MANNY fans but they may have realized that dela hoya could win so tumaya sila ke dela hoya ng 40K lang naman.... My mama said, hay naku, patayin na natin TV.. walang manonood. Hindi naman nakatira mga cousins ko dito sa bahay, so kami lang talaga nagpatay ng TV para di namen mapanood. :p And so I switched the PC on and started searching. I was happy to find ppvheaven.webs.com - nung nakita ko round 6 na - di pa din naguumpisa sa channel 7 so I know I've spotted a Live Broadcast. Yahoo! I pumped the speaker and watched every bit of it (kahit medyo mabagal).. then my mama started phoning my cousins, kesyo maga na daw mata ni dela hoya, kesyo matatalo ata sila sa bet, and biglang round 8.. out of nowhere, nagsigawan fans at dumgundong speakers namen... ayun na! shet, manny won and my cousins lost.
CONGRATS manny, you deserve it. I salute you. 40k? --- pera lang daw yon. :p

SECOND - Untouchables Christmas Party

shet, I can't continue, my eyebags are on my cheeks na, as black as a coal..
promise, this week won't pass without my Xmas party update! :)

PARTY!!!!!

grabbed from venice

love it!!!

December - First Week

di-sem-bah

I have not been really busy.. and for that I didn't fail to recognize that it's already December. Few more sleep/s, few more baths, few more work hours and whala... Christmas again.

There's nothing really to blog.. so I'll just update y'all...
  1. Marvin is currently sick - trangkaso. I wish him well. Hopefully he manages to overcome this sickness sooner.. rather than later. He still reports to work so God Bless him.
  2. I finally got the suit I'll be wearing for the Christmas Party; hehe - I had mine tailored para cheap.. I didn't think twice to get myself a suit since I know I'll be able to use it in the office... heeee. Our party is themed UNTOUCHABLES/ MAFIA/ GANGSTER - so yeah, imagine the long lost Fedora hats and Oxford Shoes. But I think its very timely though - those fedora hats are everywhere - Divisoria and Baclaran sells them too!
  3. Christmas Party is in Top Shelf, Bonifacio High Street at 6PM.
  4. It's PACQUIAO vs DELA HOYA this Sunday. My parents are DELA HOYA, dahil llamado daw but super manny fans. What do you think?
What else, what else?

I think that's it for this week. I'll definitely update you about what will happen in the xmas party.

Thanks for dropping by!
Ciao! :)

Unicef Walk

UNICEF Walk on the Child's Side 2008

------------------------

My day started so early. I woke up 3:45AM had coffee and breakfast then headed to take a bath. around 4:30 AM, I was on my way to Makati to meet my students before heading to McKinley for the race.

Our company joined a Fun Run again. This time StarTek was one of the major sponsors of the event. This is my first time to join a run, I never ran in my entire life so I was kinda excited and hoping everything will go well. And fortunately, ok naman.

There were 2K, 5K and 10K categories for this race. Majority of the attendees from site ran the 5K while most of my students did the 2K.

I thought I'm going to collapse during the race, I find it exhausting and tiring.. grabe. Maybe because I'm not that fit to run, I did not even do stretching or warm up before hand. Nonetheless, I'm happy to finish off at 734th place :p My manager, who's around 10 years older than me finished at 294th place..... nahiya naman daw ako!

OFFICIAL RACE RESULTS (pdf)

I bet I looked so bad in the pics.. so in short, I didn't get to take a pic of myself from my phone.

What a day, OMEGA please!!

Michael Jordan

Marvin is a jordan fanatic.. uhmmm, not quite sure about MJ the player but I know he loves Jordan shoes. Recently, err... today, he bought two rubber shoes to complete his Jordans from 1 to 6 and a 23.. I wasn't with him when he bought it though...

I made a wild guess of the shoes.. and so far I think .. think ... think he has the following..
not including his ACG's

he's busy with this little key chain too. Whenever he takes his coin purse out, he always glances.. more than enough on his MJ key chain.

wat da..

:p

Nestle Pops!

Marvin recently introduced me to this inexpensive but super sarap NESTLE ice cream. I super liked it!! Not messy, it doesn't melt agad because the ice cream is coated with chocolate, it comes in a nice cup, very affordable and masarap talaga... hehehe.

While he was having his haircut earlier around 9AM, i was savoring every 'pop' im having... uhmmm, yum!

don't miss this label!

when opened, the ice cream looks like kisses chocolate. vanilla flavored ice cream is inside it.

have one now! :)

Paddle? or Nipper?

it was a funny sunday afternoon and I could not resist not to post it here.

ate shirley, our suking manicurista, always visits us every other Sunday. Last Sunday was her service schedule with us; and Marvin was here too, for additional income for her.

Anyway, it just so happened that Marvin has to suffer a little bit (bwehehehe) because of his ingrown (two) toenails.

Sobrang naiiyak siya at namimilipit sa sakit :p The ice cream that I was holding for him didn't work. Look at the pic! :p

I was teasing him kung pano nia nalampasan ung paddle nia to enter TGP. To think, sangkatutak na hampas aabutin mo dun ha, hindi lang pagputol ng kuko!

Oh well, everything ended properly and he felt better now!

Oy! Gising!!

I told you,,, this is my first ever night shift again after quite some time... and maybe 3 months is not my longest but this is something new to me.

I just have to blog this again because I can't believe what just happened. The company bought us (trainees, agents, and everyone in the room) STARBUCKS coffee to aid us for the night. It might be something that they would not do for the entire week but I never attended a class (corporate or not) where the company treats the participants for a coffee - Starbucks that is, and mind you we're 27 in class. It might not be something for you... pero nagulat ako eh,, hehe.. wala atang company na nagpapakape sa mga trainees nila ng starbucks noh, painumin mo naman ang 27 sa klase, ewan ko na lang sa expense db.

Iba talaga. :)

We had two of this kanina. Enough for everyone. :)

More, more!!

Back to the Night Shift

Today.... after 3 months I think, I'm back to the night shift.
I slept at 3AM earlier and woke up 3PM... yey! This is the kind of sleep I want.
I don't know if I'll be loving it because of the night differential or what... but I'll definitely miss my kids hollering at me "MAER!!!" me bago na naman akong name. :p
  1. first, no traffic - ala nga ba? we'll see.
  2. second - night diff.
  3. third - few people around which means hindi queueing sa mga stores, food
  4. fourth - dahil wala mashadong stores open, no temptations at all to eat and dine - max's, pancake house, teriyaki boy.. hehehe
  5. fifth - pwede ng manghingi ng free juice sa lobby dahil wala ng mga applicants :p

LOL. but I want to see my kids pa ren.. :)

welcome me back to the 'zombie' shift! :)

Mucho Dinero! - halloween celeb

booooo! here's a backtrack entry.

how did you spend your halloween?
my class and I had a day (and evening) that we will never forget.

it all started when the company released an announcement letting everyone know that we can put up halloween decorations before 31st. Only one team will be declared the winner and will be taking home 5 thousand pesos. The company also gave a budget for materials. All teams must declare their chosen halloween theme.

Three days before 31st - we started putting all together. Until before judging time itself - we were fixing small details. But you know what? I can smell the 5K already by this time... hehehe.
I can't tell you enough how great everyone is.... from recycled materials, improvised chandeliers, antique materials, porcelains, china wares, delicate goblets, capes, dry ice, fangs, make up! - everything you can think ok! -- gosh....

here's our welcome information to all the guests/ vampires that will be attending our ball. We decided to make it a 'ball' or a dinner that Count Dracula will be hosting.

yeah, you may laugh all you want. but because of that costume I won 3thousand. :p Class nominated me, it wasn't really judged at all - the best costume was more of a nomination from everyone in the company... class voted for me, good job guys! thanks again! :p

ok, so this is the improvised coffin that we made

here's the long table that we decorated, complete with edible food and from chandelier, table cloth and all chinawares that you see... we're proud to have brought them and made everything come alive

here's another angle... with food now this time.

before judging time, we had to do the graduation of the class first. I don't have any pics of that graduation, only video. hmmmm, anyway, we got 3k again for performing during the graduation.. i don't want to explain any further as I don't want to lose my job.

then tamang tama... after graduation, judging time of the halloween decoration came. It was so overwhelming when they called our team.... wohooooooooooo, another 5K!!! total we have 8 already. Then individual costume winner... hahaha, ako ang tinawag. Naloka talaga ako!! We literally swept away everything. We were all screaming and shouting and jumping in joy as we have 11K just because of this day alone.

All our efforts were soooooooooo worth it! The team/ class was just ONE in doing everything. And so we headed for a looooooooooooooong night celebration after the awarding ceremony - Dinner and inuman at Dencios (where I got to experience being wasted again) hahahahaha ... pero in a good way ha. bangag lang talaga.

Let me take this opportunity to THANK everyone in my class...

Jeff - our director, actually I started calling him direk and left all the supervision to him. When we were on our last week, halos wala kaming nauumpisahan kasi nangangapa lahat, nahihiya magsalita at magstart ng kung ano ano. When I saw jeff was getting in the groove... pinabayaan ko na. sya ang may pakana kung bakit me veranda kami sa room, me chandelier, me kurtinang blue at may table cloth na blue! thanks for all the efforts jeff... :) alam ko marami ka ding inabono. :) thanks din sa choreograph pala!

Lei - thanks for all the antiques. aminin, bukod sa decorations ni jeff, hindi magiging buhay ang room without all your decorations. pati fruit cocktail mo.. thanks for buying it and sharing it with the class. Sobrang naging alive ung room. Pati pala pag ayos at pag prepare ng food, thanks.

Con and Cyndz - aside from bringing noise to my class all the time :) thanks for helping jeff out in the midst of confusion. and for the impromptu shopping to landmark, national bookstore at kung saan saan pa. thank you for volunteering all the time... cyndz.. you know that your goblets played a very big role, pati ung chicken mo... thanks for taking the time to do it. Con - you were the sexiest vampire that day, :p

Chi - for coordinating everything and helping Jeff and everyone else. Lagi akong updated because you update me... thank you because you never failed to interact with the team and show your interest and concern. Being game with everything... from singing to dancing to decorating and sa pagsama saken sa pagalala sa mga bagay bagay, hehehehe .... thanks!

Maria - kahit inaasar ka nila.. and though i don't have any clues why.. i thank you for your cooperation and all your suggestions.

Markie, Eric, Bhert and Jack- you gentlemen added spice to everything! being the center of attention of Con and Cyndz.. nabuhay ang room. Thank you for always lending a hand too.. I appreciate all the help you did in making the decorations.

Q - thanks for always staying behind, staying late to help jeff and the rest. that contributed a lot in making sure we finish on time.

Marco, Danoe, Ciara and Arvin - thanks for the singing in behalf of the team. marco - continue singing, you have the talent. Danoe - you showed age doesn't matter (it shouldn't be a hinder), and thank you for your cooperation. Ciara - thanks for the dried ice. It surely spiced up everything. Arvin - your jokes brought laughter to the class too, and making sure Con and Cyndz have an alternative other than the markie, bhert or eric.

Raffy - you didn't sing, you didn't dance.. but you surely were cooperative of everything. Plus, you didn't ask for a TF when you did you DJ stunt! Thanks! :)

Cheng and Sai - thanks for the cooperation and your manpower to assist direk, I really appreciate it.

Gibbs - I was a bit careful about you. Because you don't open up in the class, you don't mingle so much - so I don't know how to approach you at all. But I recognize your efforts in assisting the team - kahit konti lang, hehe , I also liked your cape that day and your necklace.

AGAIN, THANK YOU ALL.
Everything was just memorable. And you all have made me realized once again how lucky I am to have this job and to have met each and everyone.

Monday Visit

A short merienda to remember.
Four years ago.. we all met in teletech. We shared the same passion in training, experienced becoming pressured in classes and with clients .. and somehow have shared ups and downs with one another.

Years later, I'm happy we're still friends.

Hair Free

hmmmm, when was the last time you've tried something new?

Lately, I have been wondering if I can survive waxing - brazilian that is. Remember my Belle de Jour 2008 planner packed with gift certificates and discount coupons? One of the certificates included is a free brazilian wax from lay-bare, no further services required to avail of the certificate. A couple of people have already told me I should try it so I went on researching and browsing and reading some testimonials.

I've also learned that lay bare has one clinic in Makati near our office and so... YES, I've decided that I should try it - sayang naman certificate ko. :p

I can say it was a bit painful but tolerable, but day after - you'll be amazed and happy at what you're looking at. I'm satisfied that I've tried it. I might go back after a month. :p

Murdoch-Go Nuptials

Yes, I've been to a wedding once but a not so formal one.

Recently, last Saturday (25th), I had the opportunity to witness a wedding (not exactly because I wasn't in church :p) of one of the managers in our office. I just knew him from work and I can say I was lucky to be invited to the celebration (because I think not everyone got invited from the office). Thanks Broz!

The reception itself was nice, sumptuous buffet by Manila Hotel.

I guess their preparation had been worth remembering, because I myself had to go to some grueling and painful search to find a perfect dress. Hehe, sorry naman, first time! Up to the last minute, talaga naman.

Sige, but it was a learning experience for me... next time, I know na what to do. And one more thing, medyo hirap pala ng single na umaattend sa kasal noh? Lahat ng games, puro pang single na men and women eh, since kilala ka ng ikinasala - ay, you have to join. But I enjoyed - so much! :)

Congratulations again to the newlyweds! Next celebration siguro nila christening???

was just taken from my phone, hmmmm, spent close to 2,500 for everything, hair and make up, dress, shoes, etc, etc - not bad?!

Back to Eye Bags

I just realized that my eyebags are in its 'blackest' when I don't get enough at least 8 hour sleep everyday. Eversince I started in the AM shift (which will be eversince August this year) my eyebags have become better. Their still a pair of black undereye circles but a lot better (huh! anudaw?) Lately, I've been really engaged into consecutive company activities that makes me stay in the office longer.

I'm actually in the office right now, blogging away while waiting for our turn to do a presentation for our clients.

I'm doing well except for my cough - and I wish to really see a doctor soon. I hope the coming days will be better for me - us, financially and career wise.

Looking forward to a good FRIDAY!! :)

Thank God! .. I'm better!!

hey,

i woke up around 4:15 AM today and I realized I just have to quickly jump to the PC and update my blog. Thanks for Saturday and Sunday rest -I feel a whole lot better. I still have cough - a bad one but I don't feel like I'll be getting fevers anymore.

I need to blog this so in case someone might ask, my whole world just goes down when I'm sick - can't move, can't focus, can't stand whatever. ..... But hey! I feel better today. :)

  1. I'm done checking the midterms of kids,, sigh, but not all passed
  2. hahaha, i've seen gossip girl last night from the internet. I don't know when it will air in cable tv so I thought I had to really see it soon!
  3. salary soon!

What your life is about is your own perspective. If you want to be happy with your life despite the challenges, then be happy. If you will just whine and do nothing, you can do that too.... Life is about the choices you make, we all have one.

You make your life, and no one else. So quit whining! :p

Enjoy the week! :)

ciao!

Up, Down, Up, Up, Up..... Haaaaay

I'm sick.

Sunday, I was just sneezing. Monday, my body was just really down. I don't know what's wrong with me. I have a class so I can't bear to rest and be absent. Aside from class, I do post class updates, emails, scorecards, at kung ano ano pa so I sometimes go home late na talaga.

I had to take my meds 'round-the-clock this week. If I stop even my biogesic, asahan mo - manginginig ako at lalamigin. Mula sa simpleng sipon, I have bad cough now and my fever is still on and off. This is just the longest time I had fever. I have consumed God knows how many biogesics na for this week. I take 2 redbulls every morning to sustain me for the day and to give me energy so I can do my class.

Meron pa kaming fun run this Sunday and I'm not sure if I can do it. I want to--- but taking the stairs nga sa lrt hinihingal na ko, un pa kayang tumakbo or lumakad ng 5k? Goodluck talaga saken. I know walking is healthy, i'm just scared to do it tapos nakakahiya pag huminto ako in the middle and quit. sus - 1,500 people will be there. i'll stay home na lang siguro.

Here's the singlet (which I have) of the PAA-BILISAN run on Sunday

I would just like to say THANK YOU to the people who never forget. Those who drop by my blog to read - my friends, my previous students, new acquaintances... thanks.

Sis, sorry if I haven't replied to you real time. I'll text you soon, promise.

Keep smiling y'all. GOD IS GREAT.

i am

.know be by what you see in me not by what you hear from people...

.see the heart inside me, not the face i'm masked with...

Sick and Haunted

I didn't report for work today. I got sick, maybe because of stress, getting up early and sleeping late, add the weather too and you get a flu.

I don't have voice either. I'm having a hard time talking.

Plus the fact that my life I think is falling apart. I don't know what's really wrong and what I can do to make everything go back to normal again. My problems aren't the ones you normally hear from troubled children or from the people with nothing to eat. But I have issues too, and it makes me worry.

My problems haunt me and make me anxious for my tomorrow.

Corregidor Discovery

Sure thing I'm part of a pioneering BPO. But I didn't realize that I get to do a lot of things for free because I am simply part of the first batch - oh well, that's how I'd like to put it - not necessarily and entirely TRUE.

Anyway, today I get to go to Corregidor! It's my first time and I really enjoyed it. It wasn't too hot at all today so I thank God for that. Marvin and I had an anticipating mass yesterday so I am very happy to just spend the Sunday touring. :)

Our day began at 7AM (but I was awake at 4AM). We all met at CCP Bay Area Terminal and at 8AM - we headed to our ferry which brought us to Corregidor.

I'll blog the rest of the details when I have the time ok. :)

A Friday to Remember

Today God made me realize another miracle of life.

For the many reasons I love my job, it would be my students who I have always been thankful for. I guess because I'm naturally shy, naisip siguro ni Lord na hindi ako matuto sa buhay so he made me a trainer so I get to learn LIFE through my students and the people na nakakasalamuha ko every time I have a class.

I had countless classess na over the years and yes, I am very thankful for each of the learning experiences I encounter.

To Janice, Bam, Ann, Margot, Leslie, Francis, Arthur, Rael, James, Ariel, Meng, Marissa, Brie, Yna, Adele, Aki, Venice, Edward, Boom, Rommel and Jules --- thank you for unselfishly sharing everything. You pretty much know what I'm talking about.

My deepest and warmest gratitude.

I Hate Being Late!!

I got home 12:30 AM last night because of the unpredictable weather. Badtrip. Baha sa buendia, can you imagine. I was alone and dripping wet that night. I was exhausted but was patient as I need to just go home. Gosh, dahil sa baha, 3 hours ata akong stranded sa BUENDIA alone. Then i took the jeep papuntang blumentritt. Ok. nakarating naman ako sa bahay ng maluwalhati. :p

I had dinner, cleaned myself before I went to bed. I made sure I have my alarm ready by 4AM because my first BIG day will start tomorrow. And then I slept.

I woke up 6:30 AM!!! I can't believe it. My call time is supposedly before 7AM but I overslept or maybe I didn't even hear the alarm clock. Stupid mistake talaga. Marvin called me lang kaya ako nagising. Imaginin mo - nagising ako 6:30, I was out of the house by 6:45 - naligo naman ako noh. I didn't know what to do.

But I showed up. My manager took over the class for the meantime. But I was devastated today. haaaaaaaaaay, sana me mangyaring maganda towards the end of the week para makabawi.

I hate being like this. It has not happened to me in years, and I mean in years ---- God Bless me na lang.

whew

my blog's layout is back and fixed. i didn't realize it was just that easy. anyway, haven't been blog hopping yet, will do soon. :)

tired and sleepy, - and still irregularly blogging.

here's my favorite song of the week

One Step At A Time - Jordin Sparks

Hurry up and wait
So close, but so far away
Everything that you've always dreamed of
Close enough for you to taste
But you just can't touch

You wanna show the world, but no one knows your name yet
Wonder when and where and how you're gonna make it
You know you can if you get the chance
In your face as the door keeps slamming
Now you're feeling more and more frustrated
And you're getting all kind of impatient waiting

We live and we learn to take
One step at a time
There's no need to rush
It's like learning to fly
Or falling in love
It's gonna happen and it's
Supposed to happen that we
Find the reasons why
One step at a time

You believe and you doubt
You're confused, you got it all figured out
Everything that you always wished for
Could be yours, should be yours, would be yours
If they only knew

You wanna show the world, but no one knows your name yet
Wonder when and where and how you're gonna make it
You know you can if you get the chance
In your face as the door keeps slamming
Now you're feeling more and more frustrated
And you're getting all kind of impatient waiting

We live and we learn to take
One step at a time
There's no need to rush
It's like learning to fly
Or falling in love
It's gonna happen and it's
Supposed to happen that we
Find the reasons why
One step at a time

When you can't wait any longer
But there's no end in sight
when you need to find the strength
It's the faith that makes you stronger
The only way you get there
Is one step at a time
One step at a time
There's no need to rush
It's like learning to fly
Or falling in love
It's gonna happen and it's
Supposed to happen that we
Find the reasons why
One step at a time

We live and we learn to take
One step at a time
There's no need to rush
It's like learning to fly
Or falling in love
It's gonna happen and it's
Supposed to happen that we
Find the reasons why
One step at a time

What's Up?

Ok.. so I heard so many news while I was away.
Let me update lang po my blog...

  1. My blog has officially been damaged. Bloggertricks is suffering from bandwidth crisis so the background images of my blog aren't showing anymore. So YES, i might have to find another template soon. Sigh.
  2. Ely's concert has been cut short for a lot of reasons. I was shocked to hear that her mom passed away. Naisip ko nga, pano sya magcoconcert kung nawalan siya ng mahal sa buhay? Hindi nakakapagtaka na hindi niya kaya magconcert that day. His mom is my father's cousin. Ely is technically my second cousin. We couldn't do anything for him at this point but their family is always included in our prayers. We support you. We are wishing and hoping that you get well soon. I wish the entire family can cope up with the loss. God Bless.
  3. Francis M has leukemia. Hmmmm, when I can watch Eat Bulaga before, I would always comment namumutla si Francis sa tv. I didn't pay attention, but I would normally tell my sister that - maputla ang rehistro nia sa TV - un na pala un. Me sakit na pala sya. Our prayers din po. Hope you get well soon.
  4. My brother is now assigned in Bacoor, Cavite. He goes home every weekend.
  5. My back pays aren't processed yet. Hay. I need moolah.
  6. Today is my first day at work again. Half Day - weeeeeeeeeeh. :)

My back tracks are being created pa. They have already been composed as drafts but I can't publish them kasi I need pics sana.

Manila Here We Come

After having dinner, I rushed to the nearest restroom to freshen up.

After which, marathon na naman papuntang waiting area where we get to board. Hay, finally talaga. I didn't forget to buy water and chocolates to aid me in this long trip.

Fifteen minutes before 10PM which is supposed to be our boarding time sa plane, someone announced that we aren't stopping at GUAM anymore, and that instead of 10PM, our boarding time will be 11na. Ay, mega text naman ang majority of the Filipinos na kasama namen. Ako for one texted my family kasi they will be picking me up from the Airport. Hehe, sabi ni Seset they shouldn't be doing that on a last minute basis. Anyway, ok na din kasi straight ang byahe, no need to refuel - which might mean - magaang kami or konti lang passengers.

Akalain mo, when we were inside the plane na - andami ngang bakanteng seats. Hehe, ung iba na walang katabi eh humiga sa mga 4 seater na upuan - good for them. ako? keber kahit nakaupo na natutulog - i'm happy.

ayun, we endured 13hours flight from LAX to Manila.

3:45, the plane landed. It was almost 5AM when I got out of the airport and met Mama and Kuya. :)

welcome back to Manila!

from Denver to LA

what a journey, I swear.

majority of us had to re-do all our bags because we exceeded the 50lbs limit. we had to dispose some of our extra stuffs or put it into someone else's luggage if they have extra. Like few of my pambahays are in Marika's box - hehe, sorry Mariks.

Hay, finally we get to pass the check-in counter. Had a meal from PANDA EXPRESS which fortunately serves rice. and then... enduring the bitin 2 hour flight from Denver to LA. 8PM, we landed in LAX and waited for almost 30 minutes for our bags... and then finally.

Running from Domestic to International side of LAX Airport, we made it to PAL check-in counters. Weighing the bags, explaining things, bringing our luggage to the x-ray machine - we ended checking in at 9PM. Our supposed boarding time is 9:50. We are so exhausted and hungry, we then decided to settle down and eat - i loved the japanese food i bought from Sushiya.

hay... tired and sweaty.. in an hour we will be heading to Manila na. :)

... to La Quinta

it wasn't an easy travel - we were all exhausted at the end of the day. or should i say, we were exhausted even the day after.

Saturday, August 29, 9AM (Wyoming time)

we checked out of the lovely Holiday Inn. we were in a hurry to finish all the thank you cards seset and johann bought. after loading all our luggage into our new rental car, we were all set. we went to Enterprise first to surrender our old rental car and then to Startek. we bid goodbye's and see you soon's to everyone we knew. i personally hate goodbye's, so even if i can roam around and shake hands; i decided not to. i just waved to jay jay and brenda and shook hands with john - the site director.

before we head to Greeley, CO to drop off Broz, we stopped by at Outlets at Loveland (CO) to shop some more. In between shopping, we had KFC for our lunch. They have so many selections (I think) compared to our KFC.

After strolling and some more shopping.. we finally reached Fairfield Hotel in Greeley where Broz will be staying for another week. Before driving out of Greeley, we stopped at Dollar Tree to buy things we would still need and McDonalds drive-though to have dinner. While eating, Johann's driving. I'm thinking close to 11PM, we reached La Quinta Inn near Denver International Ariport. After unloading our luggage unto our respective rooms, we drove to Wal-Mart to buy packing tapes, boxes, water, etc.

3AM - I called Marvin.

4:30AM
what a day. I called it a night,,

Aug 26, 2008

ah, yes! filipino food

we met a very friendly kababayan.

see, we are currently in Holiday Inn - Laramie, Wyoming and one of the managers is a Filipina. Today, on our way to Wal-Mart, she invited us to a dinner. I couldn't stop myself from blurting out that I want Sinigang. woooooooooooooooooo, she cooked us sinigang, and anim kami...

siyempre, nahiya naman ako, i brought drinks, dessert and ice cream. her house is so nice. parang ang sarap makinig ng story ng isang pinay na naging ok dito sa states. i look at her while wondering what does it take for her to get what she has now?

she's married. with two kids. one is 20 years old who lives on his/her own now, and the other is still going to school and is living with them. she works in a hotel, her husband works in an IT field. she has a house in laguna where they are originally from and she owns their house here in wyoming. parang gusto ko tuloy magmigrate.

after the steamed tilapia, pressurized sinigang, fruits, ice cream and Magic Sing - we called it a night. sarap ng tulog neto - yummy tyan. :)

weekend at estes park, colorado

saturday morning around 8AM, the entire team headed to denver. We met the Laramie Site Director at a specific highway then we convoyed until we get to a mall where he can park his car (so we can just use one - our white expedition).

10 or 10:30 - we reached Broadway Inn where we get to stay for the night. it was a long drive. i'm now getting used to long drives - wyoming and denver is just HIGHWA YS for me. After checking in we went downtown to have some lunch, picture taking and souvenir shopping.

a glimpse of our room
actually first we did was ride the air trams. from downtown, this cable car brought us up to the nearest mountain. it was soooooooooooo cool. from this mountain you can see the entire downtown, highways, mountains and other tourist destinations like the haunted hotel. we fed the squirrels and chipmunks too. it was just lovely. hehe. upo kami sa bato and call them and they would just come over and grab our peanuts -aliw talaga! :)

got tired, we had lunch at grub steak where I had wrangler and soup.

we then visited the stores along the street. there were variety of stores out there, clothes, food, antiques, etc. We couldn't resist this ice cream store. we had ice cream, i love my blueberry cheesecake and snickers. after some comfort walks, we headed back to our hotel and rest. 10 minutes after, we went horse back riding. the smell was just awful - but the horses were so tamed. i had a great time.

my blueberry cheesecake and snickers flavored ice cream

we get to have dinner at the end of the horseback trail, steak and beans. it was 5:30 then.after dinner, horseback riding again.

after the sombrero ranch, we had go-karts. it was my freaking first time and I had a really good time. gas and break - wohooooooooo.

after go karts, we went putt-putt golf. that's what they call it :p my first time too. whew, we were very tired. we ended the golf around 8:30PM and we won. :) it rained half way through the game so we had to stop; maybe 5 or so minutes. then we called it a day.

SUNDAY

we checked out by 9AM, had a buffet breakfast somewhere in downtown where i feasted over bacon, bacon and some more bacons, sausage, roasted beef, fruit and juices. GOSH! this sunday breakfast is soooooo worth it. we then drove to the rocky mountains national park. its not a zoo, nothing's really there except for the wonderful sceneries surrounding the mountains we're climbing. uber sa ganda! at the very top of the mountain, 12,000ft in elevation, we found trailridge

we went back to where we left our car, at k-mart then we headed to outlet shops where i got my kenneth cole wallet and nine west bag. i spotted a RL bag which i saw from Kim before (but I want the big one), but I hesitated - magsasale na e - labor day sale. :p for our dinner this day, we had black-eyes peas where I had Chicken Fried Steak (menu says real angus beef, but its name is chicken, i dont' understand but i think it was indeed beef)
