Body Changes

Before I learned that I was pregnant, the most prominent change I was ever aware of was that of my breast. They're super full like I was supposed to have my period. LOL, excuse me if my post will be revealing or straightforward. :)

  • breast changes - the more you approach your delivery day, the bigger and fuller they will get. Especially your areola which simply prepares you for breastfeeding

  • bloating/flatulence - I never experienced this. I get bloated if I drink too much liquid but apart from that, I never felt being bloated

  • fatigue, sleepiness, low energy - this is fairly common. When extreme fatigue hits, there's just one thing to do, REST. Most pregnant women get so lazy as in lazy, haha, as the month progresses.

  • frequent urination - ay very true. but when I hit my second trimester, visit to the washroom lessened.

  • nausea w/ or w/o vomiting - so far, I've just vomited twice. :) apart from being nauseous, I get headachese here and there.

  • excess saliva - weird right? but because of our hormonal changes, the body produces more saliva. nasasamid ako sa sarili kong laway, hehe.

  • increased sensitivity to changes - we all know this. pregnant women tend to puke a lot if they don't like what they're smelling

  • metallic taste - pregnant women may experience gum bleeding a lot because of lack of calcium, that's where there metallic taste comes from

  • spotting / discharges - one may discharge a lot, expect that but colors vary. some discharges may show signs of complication or infection so always to talk your OB about it. spotting is red and beware. consult your OB when you're experiencing spotting.

  • hair loss/breakage - I don't know if other pregnant women are experiencing this, but I do. my hair is so brittle.

If you're experiencing any of the mentioned symptoms above (hopefully not all!), relax, nothing's wrong with you.. you're just pregnant. Continue to eat well, avoid stress, get enough sleep and drink your vitamins. All will be better, soon.

Profiling

*image not mine, I still don't show*

I'm very thankful to my manager who got me this book entitled "What to Expect when You're Expecting". Been reading it since I got my hands on it. :)

And through this book, I learned that when you're pregnant, 3 profiles does matter:

GYNECOLOGICAL HISTORY

You have to mention to your OB if you've ever taken birth control pills or other methods. Other women kept taking oral meds because they aren't aware they are pregnant. So it's safe that you always keep your count right, and don't miss telling your OB about it. Anything that's happening down there and inside - mention to your OB.

OBSTETRICAL HISTORY

The success of your pregnancy also depends on your birthing profile - is this your first pregnancy? have you had back to back pregnancies? Have you had any preterm births, abortion or miscarriage? Are you considered high-risk? Women who are first timers to bear and is older than 35 maybe at high-risk.

lastly..

MEDICAL HISTORY

How's your health going along? Suffering from Obesity? Diabetes? Eating disorders? Are you drinking any meds on a regular basis?

I didn't really plan on getting pregnant but I'm still thankful that it happened now than later. I may not be that healthy when I hit my 30's. And of course, every body is different, every lifestyle is different. You may be 40 and still has the body of a 25y/o.

The book keeps reminding it's readers that every pregnancy is different. I think mine is. :)

Boracay 2010

My sister once told me that we should start thinking of what we should give our parents on their upcoming 25th Wedding Anniversary - the ideas were Boracay, Singapore, HongKong, hotel overnight for all of us.

Well, you have a good guess of what we gave them, right? We planned this basically May or June of this year. Before we relocated here in Las Pinas, we have tickets and hotel reservations ready. I pitched in and paid for the cost of the tickets while my siblings and I shared the accommodation costs. Since this was a gift, my parents didn't know anything till late August. Come September, there were second thoughts from them whether or not to join. They were worried about food costs, and so many things that basically they're saying is - sayang ang pera.

Maybe they have come to the realization that I was a little angry at them so they decided to just go (hehehe). This is our first time here! :)

I can't tell you HOW MUCH my parents loved Boracay, especially my father. They so loved it that my father literally sleeps on the beach. You'll find him anytime, as in any time of the day, walking nowhere but the waters and the sand. He started loving pictures too. He wanted to have his picture taken just about anywhere. I'm so haaaaaaaapy. :)

This is FAMILY and LIFE

I love it!

welcome to LP

Today, my family moved in to a new location..

We didn't ditch our old house for 17 years as my brother would still stay there to easily report to and from work.

I'm not hoping that it's not a nice welcome because we hit the electrical wiring, cable and phone of our neighbor. Our damn truck was too high and their cable was very low - gawd. A lot to look forward to next week. I'm pretty sure we have to pay for all the damages.

I'll keep you all posted.

StarTek Eclipse Film Showing

marvin, hakkai, me, cadburry, myda

I love this weekend activity!

Amongst all the things that I love being free, movie passes/ tickets is one of those. Today, training team spearheaded the committee on Eclipse Film Showing at Promenade Greenhills, Cinema 5.

I towed Marvin with me hoping he could get a free movie pass too since he has not seen it with me. I think even if he'd seen it alone, I would love to sit by him so we could watch it together. Anyway, he was able to get in since quite a number of people did not show up. I would glance his way from time to time thinking if he understands what was happening - hehe... so I could explain more in detail.

It was a little crazy too because everybody almost know everyone else so when it's awkward time in the movie, or there's a scene on something that you would want to scream or comment on - umiingay sa sinehan. I love it. It means the audience is alive. It was also a plus that we had the cinema to StarTek only so we can almost do whatever we want - magingay, magtawanan. :)

Thank you StarTek!!

I'm not a dancer, please don't watch me. nyahahahhaa.

Filipino Dinner.. na naman

Last Sunday, when we're about to leave St. Lourdes church; we saw the Capati couples again; the one who generously invited us to their house for lunch. And so we stopped by to say our hi's and hello's. During the warm conversation, they introduced us to another Filipino couple - another doctor couple to be exact. Again, before we knew it, we have already been invited for lunch. Such generous and hospitable Filipinos.

And today is the day that we crashed into their home. :)

Stones are not always Nice

Severe pain woke mama up early of December 23. My sister had to wake me up so we can bring her to the hospital. I thought it will end soon but the pain didn't go away after being in the ER for 4 good hours. The doctors then decided to admit her.

She was diagnosed with 2 stones in her urinary passage.

December 24 at 7AM, she undergone Ureteropyeloscopy with Laser Lithotripsy successfully. Another day in the hospital, few more medicines and then noon of Christmas, we eventually went home.

Thank you to all who prayed with us.

Happy 49th Birthday Mama

We found a reason to celebrate despite the present conditions of Metro Manila. Mama just turned 49 today. We got her a gold/tan havaianas HIGH that she wanted - although it was already late when she said.. wag na lang.

We just had a small dinner at home with the rest of the fam.

Pizza and Pasta dinner with more than enough cakes.

4seasons from Yellow Cab

White Forest from Red Ribbon

Special Hizon Cake from my cousins
This looks very simple but it tastes real good
Will blog about them some other time

Love you Ma!

Fun Trip to the Mall

Kae and I were bored today so we decided to go to the mall and 'magpalamig'.
Kae was craving NYFD, so we got ourselves some. We ordered the biggest, err gigantic.. LOL size and consumed it in no time. I didn't like the pepper steak sauce that I tried, (pepper steak na naman?) hehehe.

After eating, we strolled lang. We saw SOP nga pala, performing there.. mark herras and the rest of the young stars. grabe naman sa tili mga tao.. kala ko nga magigiba ung mall eh, wehehehe.

Anyway, I also bought my Proactiv at Watsons earlier. Kae had a funny store to share. You all know Watsons right? So here it goes.
The line was typically queueing with about 5 or so people in line for each of the two counters. There was a young chinese kid with his father.. around 7 or 8 siguro yung age. This kid went to the counter and grabbed the yellow-brightly-colored FRENZY! He went to his father who'se queued on the line and asked "Daddy ano to, Candy or Vitamins!?" The daddy I think didn't know how to respond and Kae thinks the Daddy said "Go and ask the counter". Confused, the kid put the FRENZY back near the Cash Register where he took it. Few seconds after, he took the FRENZY again and asked the Cashier "Miss, ano to, Candy or Vitamins?" The cashier was smiling and lauhing a little bit. She didn't know what to tell the kid. Kae was lauhing hard that the innocent boy didn't get any answer. I glanced at the father who was just smiling too. Now the lines are getting cleared up. So imagine nearly everyone get to hear what the kid was inquiring. There was even a mother in front of his Daddy with her daughter smiling and laughing with the cashier.

When I got home, Marvin phoned me and I told the story about the curious kid. He himself wouldn't know what to say if that is his kid. I was thinking is it proper just to tell the kid that its for daddy's only? I'm not a parent so I wouldn't know, hehehehe.

Hmmmmm, what would you say??

PS
Oh my, I just remembered.... hahaha. When I was young, I found TRUST C too in our house. Hihi, of course I didn't know what it was so I took it and opened it. Then I asked my tito what it was for. He said you blow it up and put it in the mothers tummy so she won't get pregnant. I asked my tito to blow it up for me. And he did until it popped.. and so I didn't ask anymore. Akalain mo... naalala ko lang!!

Manila Here We Come

After having dinner, I rushed to the nearest restroom to freshen up.

After which, marathon na naman papuntang waiting area where we get to board. Hay, finally talaga. I didn't forget to buy water and chocolates to aid me in this long trip.

Fifteen minutes before 10PM which is supposed to be our boarding time sa plane, someone announced that we aren't stopping at GUAM anymore, and that instead of 10PM, our boarding time will be 11na. Ay, mega text naman ang majority of the Filipinos na kasama namen. Ako for one texted my family kasi they will be picking me up from the Airport. Hehe, sabi ni Seset they shouldn't be doing that on a last minute basis. Anyway, ok na din kasi straight ang byahe, no need to refuel - which might mean - magaang kami or konti lang passengers.

Akalain mo, when we were inside the plane na - andami ngang bakanteng seats. Hehe, ung iba na walang katabi eh humiga sa mga 4 seater na upuan - good for them. ako? keber kahit nakaupo na natutulog - i'm happy.

ayun, we endured 13hours flight from LAX to Manila.

3:45, the plane landed. It was almost 5AM when I got out of the airport and met Mama and Kuya. :)

welcome back to Manila!

Happy Mother's Day! 08

To all the mother's out there - here's my sincerest shout out:

HAPPY MOM'S DAY!! :)
And we all know why they are special. Anyway, I had my usual mani-pedi home service early afternoon. My nails are shouting magenta-pinkish-purple in color. About 2PM we (my sister and mama) went to the hospital to pay a visit to my tita. we bought a cake for the other mom's who are there, taking care of my tita. I took a picture of the cake (not so special by the way), kaya ko sinabi is because i took a picture of the cake with my inaanak - hehe. he's so guwapo.
Anyway, after a short visit - the three of us headed to SM Manila for a hair treatment. I paid a good 2-digit worth of thousands. I wasn't shocked but for me it was something I think really expensive. I normally have my hair relaxed and all that but I don't spend more than 2K for it, and now that we all had treatment - i felt the bill rocketed to the ceiling of some sort - mahal! hindi pa rebond to ha. Anyway, what can I do - i just had a look at the receipt and never glanced at it again. hahaha.
But I love my hair - got a Loreal product too by the way - mahal pa din. hahaha.
Happy Mom's Day Again!
Ma - i love you.

Happy Birthday to Me

Today i'm celebrating my 25th birthday.

Yesterday, Marvin and I spent few good hours together. We had breakfast together since after 2 hours of my shift is the end of his shift - we can actually catch up by then. After breakfast, no mall was open yet so we decided to take the bus going to Baclaran church. Whenever I pray in Baclaran, I can say my prayers get answered. You know that my tita is pretty ill still. After baclaran, we went to MOA. Had a little stroll and spent the day together.

Today, I didn't think I'll celebrate or something like that. We didn't even cook anything, but mama decided to have spaghetti at the least. I went to church this afternoon then went to Metro hsopital to visit my tita for the first time.

She's not in a pleasant condition. I couldn't stop myself from crying when I saw her. I told her that its my birthday and I sent a wish to heaven that she be healed. I went home a bit satisfied - to finally be able to see her.

After this day, the countdown will begin for my 26th :p
-----------------

There are many reasons to thank the Lord. What I am today is because of him and the many blessings he showered me with. I wish that he continuously gives me the opportunity to bring back the glory.

Thank you Lord for everything.

For my TITA

my mom's eldest sister is still in ICU. She was admitted last Thursday - all of her internal organs failed - dehydration of some sort - I don't know. Now Metro Hospital is trying their best to restore all her vital organs. Currently, she can move, she can smile but she couldn't open her eyes.

Pray for her

and for the rest of my family.

Lost - Edited: Lost and Recovering

Yes, I'm a bit lost for words - I don't know how to write my update - lam ko na, i bullets ko na lang - sorry, taong tamad.

  • coping up with work, but I feel kulang pa din ako sa effort.
  • I've been reporting 6 days for 2 weeks now. Waaaaaaaah, i need a good time rest.
  • We had our usual family swimming last Saturday and Sunday. And since have work last friday, Saturday morning na ko umuwi. Of course, I'm excited and all that so in short - no sleep ako from the time I got home from office, until we get to Laiya, San Juan Batangas at 4PM!!. EARLY sunday morning, from Batangas, I commuted for 4 hours just to go back to Manila and attend an 8 hour training. Imagine my eyebags that time - huwah. Nakakahiya ako. huhu.
  • I'm tired and exhausted until now.

  • I want to update you more pero tinatamad talaga ko. sakit ng katawan ko.

Promise, update kita some other time.

PS - i want a shopping spree badly (so I can go back to normal, hahahahahaha)

Yes, just me. Hahahha, I was really confused as to where to go after I paid my bills - so I don't have any choice but to go to the mall. Eh nakakahiya naman kung pupunta ko ng hindi ako bibili db - so yun. I went home contented and happy. ;p
